Coach Emily

Coach Emily is a children’s coaching specialist, personally trained by Coach Adam himself.

Coaching Experience

Coach Emily has been teaching swim lessons since 2014. She’s worked at multiple swim schools but eventually began working at Tiburon in 2022 and has worked hard to perfect her unique coaching style leading her to becoming the Head Coach at the Wellesley facility.

Coaching Style

Fun but firm! Coach Emily likes to blend the two together to ensure that kids feel safe without creating a codependency on my being with them. She teaches kids how to believe in themselves and identify the difference between "can't do" and "uncomfortable doing". Builds their tolerance for discomfort so they can learn how to break through the imaginary barriers they set for themselves and succeed in or outside of the pool. She wants to change the world by teaching kids how to believe in themselves, problem solve and overcome uncomfortable feelings independently!

Superpower

She has an endless amount of patience and kindness to provide for every swimmer while giving them the confidence and independence they require to be safe and comfortable in the water.

Fun Fact

She’s scared of swimming in the ocean because fish creep her out!
